Register your Comdata card
First, you need to register by following these steps:
- Visit the Comdata cardholder.com website at w6.iconnectdata.com/chth/Controller?XFunction=LoginPage or www.cardholder.comdata.com
- To log in to Comdata, click on the ‘Cardholders Register Here’ button located at the left-hand side of the screen. Clicking through “Are you a new user?”
- will allow you to register yourself. Click here to register below the ‘Login’ option.
Steps to activate
- Go to the page hw6.iconnectdata.com/chth/Controller?XFunction=ActScreen. It has instructions that require you to enter your card number as well as an activation code to register.
- Remedy Branch issues temporary cards for Comdata activation before activation. You will need to enter the 16-digit number on the card.
- Second, enter the 9-digit SSN to get the Comdata Activation Code.
- Third, press the ‘NEXT” button.

Steps to complete your account profile
- Your username should consist of 16 letters including your Email Address, Desired Password, Re-enter password, numbers, and selection of your security questions and answers.
- Click on the “Submit” button.
- You have successfully registered your Comdata cardholder
- After registering your Comdata cardholder you can go to the homepage and find the following information about the cardholder:
- They will send you a letter with your name and address.
- It will also display your current balance.
- The screen will display the cardholder’s status and the currency.
How to set up Direct Deposit
Follow these steps to transfer money from your Comdata cardholder account to a bank account:
There is a pre-note period that is only 10 business days. This is to ensure that you have accurate information about your Comdata account as well as your bank account. Comdata Payroll Card funds can be obtained during the pre-note period.
There are two types: Automatic Direct deposit and Manual Direct deposit. You will need to arrange both direct deposits. A similar bank account can be set up for the deposit. However, they must go through pre-note period procedures.
Both the deposit and the pre-note period are over. Automatic direct deposit transfers all of the recent payments to your account. All funds in the Comdata account are transferred to your account by manual direct deposit.
- Login to your account at www.cardholder.comdata.com
- Click the button “Direct Deposit”
- Enter the amount you wish to keep in your Comdata account
After you have entered the amount that you wish to leave on the “Amount” option, click on the “Save” option. On the last page, you will receive a notification that your request was successful.
Set up a manual direct deposit
- Click the “Add New Manual Direct Debit Account” button.
- Second, click on the down arrow to the right of the ‘Account Type’ section under the Banking Information section.
- Third, enter your 9-digit Routing number and account Number, followed by Confirm Account Num.
- Click on the “Submit” button.
Automatic Direct Deposit
- Click the “Add New Automatic Deposit Account” button.
- Second, click on the down arrow to the right of the ‘Account Type’ section under the Banking Information section.
- Third, enter your 9-digit Routing number and account Number, followed by Confirm Account Num.
- You can choose the type of election that you would like to have under the Election per load’ section.
- Click on the “Submit” button.
Direct Deposit’s final status
After you submit the information about Direct deposit for ten days, the pre-note period begins. You will also see your Automatic and Manual Direct Deposit displayed on the home screen during this period.
The bank account status will show ‘Waiting’ while you verify the information. However, once your account information has been verified, it will change to ‘Active’.
You cannot transfer funds to your account if the verification status remains in the ‘Waiting state. If you provide incorrect information during the setting up of Direct deposit, your account will be subject to a further pre-note period of ten days.

Alternative Payment Cards to Comdata
Rapid is an alternative to Comdata if you want to use a Paycard, but your employer doesn’t use it. You can use a pay card instead.
